According to a recent news report, the iconic Canadian rock band Rush is set to reunite for a special 50th anniversary tour in 2026. The announcement comes as a surprise, as founding members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson had previously stated they did not believe they would ever tour as Rush again following the death of their legendary drummer Neil Peart in 2020.

However, the duo has now revealed that their casual jam sessions in the studio have reignited their passion for the band's music. "The more we played our old songs for fun, the more fun it became," Lee explained. "And so that's put us in this terrible situation where we have to announce that we made a decision to go back on tour."

The "Fifty Something Tour" will span 12 dates across 7 cities, including stops in Los Angeles, Mexico City, Fort Worth, Chicago, New York, Toronto, and Cleveland. Each performance will feature a rotating setlist of "35 or so" of Rush's most beloved tracks, with a special tribute to honor Peart's memory and virtuosic drumming.
