Rush Reunites for 50th Anniversary Tour, Honors Late Drummer Neil Peart

In a highly anticipated announcement, rock legends Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of the iconic band Rush have revealed plans to hit the road in 2026 for a 50th anniversary tour. The duo, known as the "Fifty Something" tour, will mark their first performances together since their last show a decade ago in 2015, when their beloved bandmate and drummer Neil Peart was still alive.

The tour is set to kick off on June 7 and June 9, 2026, with the first two shows taking place at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. From there, Rush will travel to Mexico City, Fort Worth, Chicago, New York, Toronto, and Cleveland, wrapping up the tour on September 17 at the Rocket Arena.

In a heartfelt statement, Geddy Lee expressed the band's excitement to reconnect with their loyal fanbase and honor Peart's extraordinary legacy. "It's been over 10 years since Alex and I have performed the music of Rush alongside our fallen bandmate and friend Neil. A lifetime's worth of songs that we had put our cumulative hearts and souls into writing, recording and playing together onstage," Lee said.

To fill the void left by Peart's passing, Rush has tapped German drummer and composer Anika Nilles to join them on stage. "We could not be more excited to introduce her to our loyal and dedicated Rush fanbase, whom, we know, will give her every chance to live up to that near impossible role," Lee added.

Peart's widow, Carrie Nuttall-Peart, and daughter, Olivia Peart, expressed their support for the Fifty Something tour, stating that they are "thrilled to celebrate a band whose music has resonated and inspired fans for generations, and to honor Neil's extraordinary legacy as both a drummer and lyricist."
