William & Kate Defied Harry's Wedding Seating Plan

Prince Harry's 2023 memoir, Spare, revealed a significant disagreement concerning the seating arrangements at his royal wedding to Meghan Markle on May 19, 2018. The reception at Frogmore House, attended by approximately 200 guests, followed an American tradition where couples were seated together. However, Harry alleged that his brother, Prince William, and Kate Middleton altered their place cards to sit separately, a move that displeased Harry.

In his memoir, Harry recounted confronting William and Kate about the incident. They reportedly claimed another guest had moved their cards and, in turn, accused Harry and Meghan of manipulating seating at Kate's sister Pippa Middleton's wedding the previous year. Harry denied this, stating he and Meghan had been separated by decorations at that event and wished they could have sat together.
