15 May
Summary
- King Charles shared a 'selkie' legend to encourage well wishes.
- Prince Harry reportedly jumped into the sea to sing with seals.
- The couple welcomed Prince Archie six months after the encounter.

Five months after their May 2018 wedding, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they were expecting their first child.
During a late summer 2018 visit to Scotland, King Charles recounted the legend of 'selkies,' or Scottish mermaids, who grant wishes. The King advised singing to seals.
Following this, Prince Harry and Meghan reportedly sang to seals, and Prince Harry jumped into the water with them. This unusual act concerned King Charles' staff, who warned of killer whales in the area.
Shortly after returning to London, the couple confirmed Meghan was pregnant. Prince Harry attributed their luck to the 'selkies.'
Prince Archie was born on May 6, 2019. During labor, Meghan reportedly used a pregnancy ball, and Harry partook in laughing gas intended for her.
Two hours after birth, the new parents left the hospital for Frogmore Cottage. They are also parents to Lilibet Diana, born in June 2021 after their move to the US.
