Royal Easter: William's Anxiety Amidst Family Unity
5 Apr
Summary
- Prince William displayed anxiety with a self-soothing gesture.
- Princess Charlotte took a prominent, mature role during the service.
- Prince Andrew and his daughters were absent from the Easter gathering.

The Royal Family gathered for their Easter Sunday service, presenting a show of unity following recent events. Body language expert Judi James observed Prince William exhibiting anxiety through a self-soothing gesture, a behavior shared with his brother when under pressure. This occurred as he walked with his younger son, Prince Louis.
Princess Charlotte, however, captured attention with her mature demeanor, taking a leading role in the procession. Her confident waving and smiling at the crowds, alongside a protective check on her brother Louis, drew comparisons to her late grandmother, Diana. Her mother, Kate, even mirrored some of Charlotte's gestures.
The service marked the first major family gathering since the arrest of Prince Andrew, who was notably absent, as were his daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. Other attendees included King Charles and Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and his son James, Viscount Severn. The Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie, was also absent, reported to be 'under the weather'.
This year's Easter service saw the Wales family in attendance, unlike the previous year when they were in Norfolk. The event comes shortly after Kate's announcement of preventative chemotherapy. Kate wore a Self Portrait dress featuring pineapple symbols, while Charlotte was in a tan coat. Other royals present included Peter Phillips and his fiancée Harriet Sperling.
