16 Mar
Summary
- A new series profiles a royal dresser convicted of murder.
- The show's premiere coincides with Ferguson's Epstein scandal.
- Prince Andrew's Epstein ties resurfaced before the series aired.

A new four-part series, 'The Lady,' produced by ITV and Britbox, is drawing attention for its subject, Jane Andrews, a former royal dresser convicted of murder. The series, which premiered in the United States on Wednesday, is based on the story of Andrews, who worked for Sarah Ferguson in the 1980s and '90s.
The show's release has been complicated by recent scandals involving Sarah Ferguson's ongoing friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. Furthermore, Prince Andrew, now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was arrested just three days before the series' UK premiere in connection with his own Epstein ties.
Despite these controversies occurring after the main events depicted in the show, executive producer Rebecca Hodgson believes audiences are not reacting negatively. The series itself largely predates the Epstein scandals.
