A bitter inheritance dispute has emerged within the prominent Rothschild banking dynasty, pitting Baroness Nadine de Rothschild against her daughter-in-law, Baroness Ariane de Rothschild. The conflict centers on the fate of a vast art collection and priceless heirlooms located at the family's Chateau de Pregny in Switzerland, described by one visitor as a "mini Louvre."

The collection, reportedly featuring works by masters such as Goya, Rembrandt, and El Greco, is the subject of competing claims. Baroness Nadine, widow of Edmond de Rothschild, seeks to establish a new museum in Geneva to display a portion of the collection, which she believes her late husband bequeathed to her.
