Madrid Roars as Rosalía Delivers Unforgettable Lux Tour

Rosalía launched her four-night residency at Madrid's Movistar Arena on Monday, March 30, marking the initial stop of her Spanish Lux Tour. This performance followed a recent health scare where she had to cut short a concert in Milan due to food poisoning. Appearing fully recovered, Rosalía delivered a powerful and emotionally charged show, sustained by constant tension and connection with her fans.

The concert followed the structure debuted in Lyon, featuring over 20 songs divided into four acts. A 20-piece orchestra at the venue's center provided musical accompaniment, while Rosalía moved fluidly between dramatic and electronic segments.

Rosalía expressed her profound connection to Madrid, calling the night special and acknowledging her long history with the city. She fondly recalled early performances at the flamenco venue Casa Patas, expressing disbelief at headlining an arena a decade later.

The setlist included challenging pieces like "Mio Cristo," which the audience sang along to, and lighter moments such as "Can't Take My Eyes Off You," where she interacted directly with fans. Humorous segments included a stage confessional with content creator Soy Una Pringada, and energetic performances of "Despechá," celebrating Dominican mambo and flamenco.

The show concluded with "Magnolias," a minimalist performance ending with the artist disappearing in a single beam of light. Following the Madrid dates (April 1, 3, 4), the Lux Tour will proceed to Lisbon, Portugal (April 8, 9) and Barcelona (April 13, 15, 17, 18), before arriving in the U.S. starting June 4 in Miami, with additional stops planned in cities like Boston, New York, Chicago, and Las Vegas.
