Actor Eric Winter, who plays Tim, proposed a creative direction for Season 9, suggesting the couple be held in separate locations. He believes this would significantly raise the stakes and create more compelling drama than if they were held together.
Showrunner Alexi Hawley confirmed that the narrative will resume only a couple of weeks after the Season 8 events. Hawley also teased that the new season will introduce new characters, plotlines, and dangers, promising to push boundaries.
