A shocking home invasion has prompted Alex Holland, a man who felt his middle age was unfulfilled, to seek a new purpose. Believing his life lacked a significant crisis, he has now embarked on an unexpected career path.
Holland is joining the Pierce County Police Department in Washington as its oldest rookie. His new role will see him policing varied environments, from urban coastlines to rural forests, where immediate backup is not always guaranteed.
He faces the challenge of proving his worth to his skeptical training officer, Charlotte Dru, his fellow rookies, and most importantly, himself. This endeavor comes as he works to overcome a lifetime of perceived failed commitments in Los Angeles.
The pilot episode for this new series is scheduled to film in Vancouver. This project, titled "The Rookie: North," is a standalone pilot and will not be integrated into "The Rookie" series like its predecessor, "The Rookie: Feds."
