Romy and Michele Sequel is Officially a Go!

Production has officially commenced for the highly anticipated Romy and Michele sequel, reuniting fans with the iconic duo. Mira Sorvino expressed her immense gratitude and excitement, documenting the first day of filming for the project, which she described as a dream realized after 30 years. This new installment, written by Robin Schiff, will be available to stream as a Hulu Original.

The original film, released in 1997, followed Romy and Michele as they attended their high school reunion, famously posing as inventors of Post-it notes. The upcoming sequel sees the return of original cast members Alan Cumming, Janeane Garofalo, Camryn Manheim, and Julia Campbell, alongside new additions like Keegan-Michael Key and Patrick Warburton. The creative team, including producer Laurence Mark and costume designer Mona May, is back to bring this beloved story to life.
