Sir Rod Stewart, aged 81, has been compelled to cancel his scheduled US tour due to undergoing emergency heart surgery. The acclaimed hitmaker is now recuperating after a successful coronary stent procedure.

Stewart's team announced that doctors are pleased with his recovery, and he is "doing very well" and has resumed normal daily activities. However, on medical advice, he will observe a four-week recuperation period to regain full fitness before returning to performing.

This health development has led to the unfortunate postponement of his current tour dates. Stewart expressed deep disappointment in missing these shows and apologizing to his fans, but he assured them of his intent to return to the stage soon.
