Legendary singer Rod Stewart, aged 81, has declared that his upcoming 'The Final Encore' tour will mark the end of his extensive career on the road, spanning over six decades.

The announcement, made on September 28, 2026, reveals plans for UK and European concerts in 2027. Stewart shared a heartfelt message thanking his global fanbase for their unwavering support throughout his musical journey.

The farewell tour is scheduled to commence in Dublin next April. Stewart clarified in a social media video that this decision pertains only to rock and roll touring, not a complete retirement from music.

Stewart's message highlighted the concerts as a chance to celebrate his long-standing connection with fans, offering them another opportunity to experience his iconic songs live.

This announcement follows a period of health-related interruptions to his live performances. In August 2026, he had to cancel dates on his 'One Last Time' tour and his Las Vegas residency after undergoing a coronary stent procedure.

The tour's UK and European leg is set to begin at Dublin's 3Arena on April 23, 2027. Subsequent dates include Belfast, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, and London, followed by stops in European cities such as Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Munich, and Prague, concluding in Hanover, Germany, on July 24, 2027.

Stewart's illustrious career, which began in his teens, saw him rise to fame with bands like the Jeff Beck Group and Faces before achieving significant solo success with hits such as 'Maggie May' and 'Sailing'. His contributions to music have earned him two inductions into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
