Sir Rod Stewart, 81, revealed his "The Final Encore Tour" will be his last rock and roll tour, scheduled for 2027. This announcement follows his cancellation of previously scheduled shows due to a recent heart procedure. Stewart clarified that he is not retiring but concluding his rock performance career.
The extensive European tour is set to commence on April 23, 2027, in Dublin, featuring five shows in Stewart's native U.K., including London. Synth-pop artist Howard Jones will join Stewart as a supporting act for these concerts.
The tour will then proceed to mainland Europe for an additional 15 dates throughout May, June, and July, concluding in Hannover, Germany, on July 24, 2027. While this tour focuses on Europe, Stewart also has U.S. dates planned for March and September 2027.
Last month, Stewart's team confirmed he underwent a 'routine coronary stent procedure' and was recovering well, leading to postponements of his Las Vegas residency and September tour dates. His wife, Penny Lancaster, shared that doctors detected a slight blockage requiring a stent, a common procedure for individuals over 65.
