Red Dead Redemption Rises from the Grave for Netflix and Next-Gen Consoles
13 Nov
Summary
- Red Dead Redemption and its Undead Nightmare DLC coming to Netflix on December 4th
- Red Dead Redemption rated for PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2
- Rockstar extends life of popular games while fans await GTA VI

As of November 13th, 2025, Rockstar Games is making a major move to revive one of its greatest hits. The company has announced that the critically acclaimed Red Dead Redemption, along with its standalone Undead Nightmare DLC, will be available to stream on Netflix starting December 4th of this year.
This news comes as a surprise, as the original Red Dead Redemption was first released in 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game was later ported to the Switch and PS4 in 2023, and to PC in 2024. Now, Rockstar is bringing the title to current-generation consoles, with the ESRB website listing ratings for the PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2 versions.
Rockstar is known for extending the life of its most popular games. Grand Theft Auto V, for example, has received updates across the last three console generations, while GTA Online continues to receive regular content updates. It seems the company is employing a similar strategy with Red Dead Redemption, likely to keep fans engaged while they wait for the twice-delayed Grand Theft Auto VI.
