Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, a notable supporter of Taylor Swift for years, has drawn fan criticism due to recent activity on his Instagram account. His verified profile appeared to have liked a video that harshly disparaged Swift's abilities, labeling her "a carefully crafted fake."
This development has caused a stir among Swift's fanbase, particularly given Johnson's history of public endorsement. He previously performed Swift's song on "Lip Sync Battle," appeared in her music video for "The Man," and featured her music in his film "DC League of Super-Pets."
Fans expressed their surprise and disappointment online, questioning how someone with such a history of support could engage with content critical of the artist. The particular video that received the like also compared Swift's singing to legendary artists like Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin.
While some speculate the like could have been accidental, it reportedly remained visible at the time of reporting. Johnson and his representatives have not yet issued a statement regarding the incident.
