The Rock's Surprise Cinema Trip for Shocked School Kids
19 May
Summary
- Students recorded a video hoping to get Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's attention.
- The actor promised to hire out a cinema for the pupils.
- The surprise came after their video went viral on social media.
Primary school students experienced "absolute shock" after receiving a special promise from Hollywood megastar Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. Pupils at St. Gregory Primary School in Sudbury, Suffolk, created a social media video in January with the aim of getting the former wrestler's attention.
The headteacher had told the students that if the actor saw their clip, he would treat them to a cinema outing to see his new film. This incentive motivated the children to create their viral video.
Their efforts paid off spectacularly when their video gained widespread attention, reaching Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson himself. He responded by sending the students a personal video message, delighting them with a promise to hire an entire cinema for their viewing pleasure.
