Birmingham's Gunmakers Arms pub has been transformed into a vibrant hub for art and music lovers, reopening on Friday after a significant renovation. The project was spearheaded by Mason Newman, an artist renowned for his collaborations with music icons like Ozzy Osbourne and Madonna. He previously created merchandise and artwork for Black Sabbath's final tour.
The revitalized pub now boasts a unique rock 'n' roll art gallery and a B&B, offering an immersive experience for visitors. Seven upstairs rooms have been individually themed around art or music genres, providing a distinctive accommodation option for guests.
Downstairs, the focus remains on supporting local creativity. Patrons can enjoy food and explore exhibitions showcasing works from various local artists. Mr. Newman took on the pub earlier this year after its closure, driven by a desire to provide a platform for emerging talent within the community.
