A potential documentary chronicling the history of Roc-A-Fella Records has been stalled due to a disagreement over its creative direction. Director Adam Bhala Lough, who was previously approached to helm the project, revealed the situation.
Lough stated that Dame Dash possesses "hundreds of hours of incredible footage" from the record label's prime era. However, Lough's insistence on including Jay-Z's perspective was met with refusal.
This creative impasse led Lough to decline directing the film, though he remains open to revisiting the project if the conditions change. The revelation emerged recently following discussions about Dame Dash's public comments regarding Jay-Z.
