Since its launch in May 2025, the game has become a phenomenon, attracting over 55 billion visits and peaking at 25.8 million concurrent players in October 2025. The game's appeal lies in its addictive loop of buying, collecting, and stealing "brainrots," meme-inspired items that players use to increase multipliers before rebirthing.

The upcoming film is set to embody the game's unique blend of chaos, comedy, and strategic competition. It will immerse viewers in a dynamic world where players can achieve immense wealth through quick scores, risk losing progress with every gamble, and face constant threats from rivals. Story Kitchen is collaborating with Do Big Studios and Spyder Games on this project, aiming to translate the game's vibrant experience to the big screen.
