Rob Lowe is sharing a memorable experience from early in his career when he first met country music legend Dolly Parton. At his inaugural Hollywood party, Lowe was starstruck by the gathering of famous faces, meticulously noting them down, with Parton at the top of his list.

He recalled being particularly captivated by a display of Parton's sparkling, high-heeled shoes, which made him feel he had officially "arrived" in show business. While Lowe found Parton to be lovely, he was too awestruck to recall much of their conversation.

Later in his career, Lowe discovered Parton had mentioned him in a 1999 episode of The Simpsons. The country star played herself, aiding Homer Simpson and later referencing a planned performance with Lowe. Lowe himself eventually appeared on the show years later, noting the humorous, indirect connection.
