R.J. Decker Season 2: Murder Mystery Unfolds

R.J. Decker returns for a second season on ABC, picking up after the shocking cliffhanger of its first season finale. The new episodes will focus on the murder of Victor Ochoa, who was found dead in his pool shortly after his corrupt schemes were brought to light by R.J. Decker and his allies. This investigation will place R.J., his ex-wife Catherine, Emi Ochoa, Mel Abreu, and Wish Aiken under suspicion as authorities search for the killer. Showrunner Rob Doherty has indicated that the season's central plot will explore Victor's past connections and potential enemies. The murder will also strain the developing relationship between R.J. and Emi, as Emi grapples with the guilt surrounding her father's demise. All five main cast members, including Scott Speedman as R.J. and Jaina Lee Ortiz as Emi, are expected to return. The series is inspired by Carl Hiaasen's novel Double Whammy and is known for its blend of crime and dark humor. R.J. Decker season 2 is set to premiere on September 15th, taking over the Tuesday night 10 p.m. ET/PT slot on ABC. Season 1 is available for streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.
