Riteish Deshmukh's Emotional Tribute to Asha Bhosle

Actor and director Riteish Deshmukh honored the legendary Asha Bhosle, remembering her kindness and support during the promotions of his film 'Raja Shivaji'. He recounted how Bhosle affectionately treated him like a son, recalling a time she personally cooked his favorite meal and invited him to her home for a heartfelt conversation.

Bhosle's encouragement was a constant presence in Deshmukh's career. She would often call him to offer blessings whenever he appeared on television or had any event. This support extended to his latest historical drama.

Deshmukh revealed that Bhosle had called him, expressing her eagerness to watch 'Raja Shivaji' upon its release. Sadly, she passed away before she could see it, a fact that deeply pains Deshmukh, who misses her immensely for numerous reasons.

'Raja Shivaji,' directed by and starring Deshmukh, premiered on May 1st. The film has achieved significant box office success, earning approximately Rs 11 crore on its opening day, with the Marathi version alone grossing Rs 8 crore net on Friday, marking a strong debut in Marathi cinema.
