Ashes to Diamonds: Ricki Lake's Home Lost, Memory Kept

Ricki Lake recently received an extraordinary diamond created from the ashes of her home, which was tragically lost in the 2025 southern California wildfires. This sentimental gift from Eterneva offers a unique way to preserve a piece of her destroyed property.

The wildfires in January 2025 devastated thousands of acres, resulting in significant loss of life and property. Lake's home was among the many structures lost during the disaster.

To create the diamond, Eterneva used ashes collected from significant locations on Lake's property, including the original wood gate and a tool shed. A sample from near a tree adjacent to a ceremonial circle where her late ex-husband's ashes were buried was also included.

Set in a pale green diamond with a gold backing and chain, the jewelry piece is a powerful symbol of transformation. Lake explained that green represents the heart chakra and that an illustration of a phoenix on the back, along with the fire's date, serves as a reminder of her journey and resilience.

Lake expressed deep gratitude, calling the diamond "one of the most poetic and sentimental gifts" she has ever received. She sees it as proof that beauty can emerge from tragedy, emphasizing that "Home is LITERALLY where the heart is."
