As the anticipation builds for The Real Housewives of New York City season 16, the show's current stars are divided on the potential direction of the cast. According to Erin Lichy and Sai De Silva, who were part of the RHONY season 15 lineup, they don't believe a hybrid season featuring both new and veteran Housewives is the right move.
"I feel like if they really thought that that was the way to go, then that's the way we would go, you know?" Erin Lichy said during BravoCon 2025 on November 15. Her co-star Sai De Silva echoed this sentiment, stating that Bravolebs from the past and present "live in two different worlds."
However, Bravo producer Andy Cohen has confirmed that a cast is already in place for the upcoming season, which is set to begin filming in the next few months. While the full lineup has yet to be announced, there has been speculation that it could include a mix of new and familiar faces.
Despite the uncertainty, Sai and fellow Housewife Jessel Taank expressed excitement for the "fresh and fun" new chapter of RHONY. Sai noted that the group's bond has grown stronger over the years, with new babies, new homes, and even some "funny arguments" to look forward to.
Jessel also teased that the new cast will continue to showcase the "real New York" that is both fashionable and energetic, hitting "all the up and coming spots" in the city.
