8 Oct, 2025
Summary
- Todd Nepola, ex-husband of RHOM cast member Alexia Nepola, sues Bravo for defamation
- Seeks over $10 million in damages, claims network portrayed him as "financially irresponsible"
- Lawsuit alleges Bravo continued to air "defamatory statements" about him

As of October 8th, 2025, Todd Nepola, the former husband of Real Housewives of Miami (RHOM) star Alexia Nepola, has filed a $10 million defamation lawsuit against Bravo and its parent company NBCUniversal. Nepola, who appeared on 21 episodes of RHOM before filing for divorce in April 2024, alleges that the network intentionally and maliciously aired "defamatory statements" about him, misused his name and likeness, and damaged his reputation in the Miami business community.
The lawsuit claims that Bravo "continued to intentionally and maliciously air defamatory statements" about Nepola, portraying him as "financially irresponsible or suffering from financial distress." The document also alleges that Nepola's name and likeness were used without his permission, resulting in "millions of dollars in damages."
Nepola argues that the defamatory portrayal was not limited to a single episode or season, but rather became the "dominant lens" through which he was presented on the show. The lawsuit accuses the producers of actively shaping scenes, editing conversations out of context, and encouraging cast members to amplify the narrative of Nepola's financial instability.
As of the current date, Bravo's parent company, NBCUniversal, has not yet responded to the lawsuit. The real estate broker, who is listed as the president of the Current Capital Group in Hollywood, Florida, is seeking $10 million in compensatory damages from the network and its producers.
