RHOBH Star Taylor Recounts Harrowing Abuse Ordeal Before Husband's Tragic Death

In a recent podcast interview, former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) star Taylor, now 54 years old, has opened up about the horrific abuse she endured during her marriage to ex-husband Russell. According to Taylor, the abuse began when she was "a little bit more" than six months pregnant, with Russell "choking" her as they were "getting ready to go to a charity event" in 2005.

Taylor, who married Russell that same year and welcomed their daughter Kennedy the following year, confided in her RHOBH co-stars Adrienne Maloof and Camille Grammer about the abuse before it was eventually exposed on the show. However, Taylor was surprised and hurt when the two women "turned against" her on the series.

Despite the trauma, Taylor found a sense of safety in being on RHOBH, as she believed Russell "is not going to hit me and take a risk that I'm going to have a bruise on camera." Sadly, the abuse continued, and Taylor eventually filed for divorce in July 2011. One month later, Russell died by suicide.

In the podcast interview, Taylor further detailed the early warning signs she had ignored in her relationship with Russell, who had exhibited controlling and jealous behavior. She also revealed how he had taken away her financial independence, leaving her with no access to money and no way to leave the abusive situation.

Now remarried to husband John Bluher, Taylor continues to share her story of survival and abuse in the hopes of helping others who may be experiencing similar situations.
