A legal battle between Blake Lively and director Justin Baldoni has escalated with new court exhibits detailing an alleged confrontation. Ryan Reynolds reportedly "unloaded" on Baldoni in April 2023 at his New York penthouse, accusing him of "fat shaming" Lively. The exhibit claims Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman were also present during this aggressive exchange, which left Baldoni feeling embarrassed and apologizing profusely.

Lively initially sued Baldoni in December 2024 for sexual harassment and other claims, alleging he sought "back-channel ways of criticizing her body and weight" during filming. Baldoni has denied all accusations and countersued, though his suit was dismissed. His legal team argued his inquiry about Lively's weight was related to a scene requiring him to lift her, citing a personal back injury.

Taylor Swift has sought to distance herself from the dispute, despite attempts to subpoena her. Her spokesperson emphasized her limited involvement, stating she only licensed a song for the film and did not participate in creative decisions or view early cuts. A trial is currently scheduled for March 2026.
