The Revolutionaries: India's forgotten heroes emerge

Prime Video is set to premiere its Original series, 'The Revolutionaries,' on September 11. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, this period drama stars Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta, and Gurfateh Pirzada. The series draws inspiration from Sanjeev Sanyal's bestseller, 'Revolutionaries: The Other Story Of How India Won Its Freedom.'

Set against the backdrop of India's freedom movement, 'The Revolutionaries' focuses on four fearless young individuals: Rash Behari Bose (Bam), Sachindra Nath Sanyal (Saraf), Pratibha Lahiri (Ranta), and Bagha Jatin (Pirzada). These revolutionaries fearlessly challenged the might of the British Empire.

The series delves into their unwavering commitment to justice, liberty, and freedom. It portrays their courageous armed resistance, highlighting their sacrifices, bonds of friendship, moments of betrayal, and the critical decisions that influenced a significant chapter in India's fight for independence.

Director Nikkhil Advani expressed his enthusiasm, stating his desire to illuminate the less-recognized heroes of pre-independence India. While inspired by real events and Sanyal's book, the series is crafted as a character-driven action drama, exploring themes of rebellion, sacrifice, and freedom through an emotional lens. 'The Revolutionaries' will be available in Hindi, with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bengali, alongside English subtitles.
