A new Korean drama, "The Remarried Empress," adapted from the widely-read Naver Webtoon, is slated for a November premiere on Disney+. This 10-part series centers on Empress Navier of the Eastern Kingdom, whose marriage to Emperor Sovieshu is shattered when he becomes infatuated with a runaway slave.
Empress Navier agrees to the divorce under the condition that she be allowed to marry Crown Prince Heinrey of the Western Kingdom. This sets the stage for a dramatic conflict involving love, power, and political intrigue that could destabilize the kingdom.
Starring Shin Mina as Empress Navier and Ju Jihoon as Emperor Sovieshu, the series also features Lee Jongsuk as Crown Prince Heinrey and Lee Seyoung as the slave Rashta. The show will have its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival in October.
"The Remarried Empress" will debut on Disney+ with a four-episode premiere on November 4. Two new episodes will be released each Wednesday, with the season finale scheduled for November 25. This series joins other Korean Originals available on the platform.
