Regina Hall has been cast in the upcoming live-action/CGI hybrid film "Lizard Music," joining Dwayne Johnson for Amazon MGM Studios and United Artists. Benny Safdie is directing the project, which also features Theo Leber, Alicia Silverstone, and Tim Heidecker.
The film's narrative follows a young boy who stumbles upon a secret late-night broadcast of lizards producing otherworldly music. This discovery opens a door to the extraordinary, leading him to seek answers and encounter Dwayne Johnson's character, an eccentric old man known as The Chicken Man.
Hall will portray a friend and co-worker of Johnson's character. The script, penned by Safdie, is based on Daniel Pinkwater's novel of the same name. The production boasts a notable list of producers, including Johnson himself.
"Lizard Music" promises an adventure that begins as a quest for a hidden society but evolves into a voyage through invisible worlds and unexpected harmonies, emphasizing the bond between its characters.
