Nicolas Winding Refn's seminal "Pusher" trilogy, a formative work in his celebrated career, has undergone a comprehensive 4K restoration. The restored films are now commencing a theatrical run, with showings starting at the IFC Center on Friday, May 8. This initiative allows audiences to experience the raw, uncompromising vision of Refn's early work, characterized by its depiction of underworlds and unflinching violence. The restoration process focused on faithfully preserving the original aesthetic of the films, which were shot on Super 16mm film.

The release of the "Pusher" trilogy's restoration aligns with a significant moment for Refn, who is weeks away from premiering his new feature, "Her Private Hell," at the Cannes Film Festival. This marks his first feature film in ten years, following extensive work on streaming series.
