As of October 10th, 2025, Reese Witherspoon's popular book club has announced a new partnership with WhatsApp to connect with more readers worldwide. The collaboration allows Reese's Book Club members to use the private messaging app to discuss the latest book club selections, exchange voice notes, and share their theories and insights with other readers.
"Reese's Book Club has become a cultural force, curating books that bring joy and champion women's voices," stated Kristin Perla, Hello Sunshine's SVP of Brands & Strategic Partnerships. "WhatsApp gives our community the space to stay connected, share their love of reading, and turn book moments into lasting relationships."
In addition to the WhatsApp channel, the book club is also launching community hubs in New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Charleston, and St. Louis. These hubs are designed to help local readers connect, receive announcements, and organize discussions on everything from favorite bookstores to trending titles.
Witherspoon is also set to embark on a U.S. book tour later this year to promote her new thriller novel, "Gone Before Goodbye," co-written with Harlan Coben. Readers can expect exclusive updates and content from the author through the official Reese's Book Club channel on WhatsApp.
"WhatsApp is an integral part of connecting people around the world, especially through a love of shared interests," said Vivian Odior, global head of marketing at WhatsApp. "Reese's Book Club has built a passionate, dedicated community just like us, and we are excited to help connect readers on a deeper level than ever before through this partnership."
