Dublin Crime Drama: A Mother's Secret Search for Truth

The crime drama 'Redemption,' available on ITVX, follows Colette Cunningham as she journeys to Dublin to identify her estranged daughter Stacey's body, an event initially ruled a suicide. Upon arrival, Colette unexpectedly becomes guardian to her two teenage grandchildren and joins the Dublin Police force. Driven by suspicion that her daughter was murdered, Colette embarks on a relentless pursuit of the truth.

The series features Paula Malcomson as Colette, supported by a cast including Abby Fitz and Evan O'Connor as her grandchildren. Despite receiving positive feedback from viewers who lauded its plot, acting, and character development, 'Redemption' was produced as a limited, one-time series and will not have a second season.

Critics also offered praise, with some noting its adherence to familiar crime drama tropes while still being a worthwhile addition to the genre. The show explores themes of loss, hidden family dynamics, and the complexities of seeking justice.
