Season 2's plot saw Detective Hana Li investigating the murder of a US diplomatic courier at Heathrow Airport. Key events included the theft of the courier's ID, causing turmoil at the US Embassy during a party for the new ambassador. The investigation uncovered that UK Defence Secretary Alex Peterson was orchestrating the murders to conceal his embezzlement from a military aircraft deal.
The conspiracy unraveled after a plane crash, with a recorder exposing Peterson's role in the accident that killed Flight Lieutenant Patrick Johnson, brother of Clay Brody. Ambassador Ronald Tillman was aware of the truth but chose to blackmail Peterson. Ultimately, Hana, Clay, and Madeline Delaney successfully tracked down Peterson, bringing the season's conflict to a close.
