Record Store Day has announced its extensive 2026 lineup, promising over 350 special vinyl releases. This year's collection includes highly anticipated titles from legendary artists such as David Bowie, Charli XCX, Ozzy Osbourne, Pink Floyd, and The Rolling Stones. Many of these releases will be limited edition vinyl LPs, available in various colors and stylizations.
A particularly noteworthy release is Joni Mitchell's 1972 album 'For the Roses,' which will be reissued with its original cover art, a decision that was vetoed over 50 years ago. Bruno Mars has been appointed as the 2026 Record Store Day ambassador. He will commemorate this role by releasing 'The Collaborations,' a compilation featuring his most popular team-ups with artists like Mark Ronson and Lady Gaga.
Record Store Day 2026 will also showcase K-pop representation through HUNTR/X, the fictional girl group from Netflix's 'Kpop Demon Hunters,' who will release their soundtrack. KATSEYE will also feature special vinyl versions of their hits. Live recordings will be prominent, with Bruce Springsteen releasing a three-hour live set from the Sea.Hear.Now Festival, and Olivia Dean sharing her viral BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge performance on vinyl.
Other significant releases include new works from Robert Plant, Ziggy Marley, and Jeff Buckley, as well as reissues from Madonna and Neil Young. Notable family collaborations will also be featured, with Dave Grohl's daughter Violet releasing a tribute single and John Lennon's son Sean presenting a reimagined version of his father's "Love" Ballad.
