Rebel Wilson's New 'Girl Group' Inspires Pitch Perfect Stars

Rebel Wilson has assembled a new musical ensemble, dubbed 'Girl Group,' drawing inspiration from her experience with the beloved Pitch Perfect film series. This new project aims to discover and nurture emerging talent, echoing the themes of camaraderie and performance found in her previous work.

To gauge the impact of her new creation, Wilson invited members of the original Pitch Perfect cast to a private screening for their feedback. This included talents like Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow, who have since ventured into directing. Wilson valued their input, considering their deep understanding of musical theater.

The emotional resonance of 'Girl Group' was powerfully demonstrated when Anna Kendrick, a seasoned musical performer, was visibly moved to tears by the song 'Ride-or-Die.' This profound reaction from Kendrick, someone deeply knowledgeable about musicals, solidified Wilson's confidence in the project's unique appeal and potential.
