In the lead-up to the 2025 holiday season, NBC has unveiled the highly anticipated lineup for its annual Rockefeller Center tree lighting celebration. Scheduled to air on December 3rd, the special will be hosted by country music legend Reba McEntire, making her debut in the role.
Joining McEntire on the star-studded bill are a diverse array of musical acts, including Marc Anthony, Halle Bailey, Michael Bublé, Kristin Chenoweth, New Edition, Brad Paisley, and Carly Pearce. The Radio City Rockettes, who are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year, will also take the stage to delight viewers with a festive showcase.
"The lighting of the tree at Rockefeller Center is one of the great traditions that New York has to offer, and we couldn't be more proud to once again share that excitement with audiences all over the country," said Jen Neal, executive vice president of live events and specials at NBCUniversal Entertainment.
The 2025 edition of the holiday extravaganza will build on a rich legacy, with the first Rockefeller tree lighting taking place in 1933 during the Great Depression. The iconic ice-skating rink at Rockefeller Center also opened in 1936, adding to the ceremony's timeless charm.
