Reality TV Star's Fiancé Struggles with Proposal Instructions from AI Assistant

In November 2025, Dolores Catania and her fiancé, Paulie Connell, revealed that Connell's recent proposal didn't go as smoothly as expected. The couple sat down with fellow reality TV stars Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp and shared behind-the-scenes details of the big moment.

Connell, 51, was so nervous during the proposal that Catania, 54, was worried something was wrong with his health. "You were sweating, you were saying things -- like, I've been around people that are like that, and you were saying things that didn't make sense to me," Catania recalled. Connell later admitted that he had consulted ChatGPT for proposal advice, and was trying to keep all the instructions straight in his head as he popped the question.

Despite the awkward proposal, Catania said the most important part was Connell's heartfelt words before he got down on one knee. "What meant more to me is the things that you said to me before you got down on one knee," she explained. "Because I don't hear those things from you ever. Although I [feel] them, but sometimes, you need to hear them."

Connell revealed that he had told Catania how important she was to him, how she had helped him become a better person, and how their families had become intertwined. In the end, the couple's engagement was a testament to their deep connection, even if the proposal didn't go exactly as planned.
