6 Oct
Summary
- A fire occurred on the set of Pati Patni Aur Panga Season 2.
- The All Indian Cine Workers Association is demanding an FIR and resignations.
- Concerns rise over inadequate fire safety arrangements at Film City.
A fire incident occurred on Monday at the Prime Focus Studio in Goregaon, Mumbai, affecting the set of Colors TV's reality show Pati Patni Aur Panga Season 2. The blaze erupted while production activities were underway.
Following the fire, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has escalated demands, calling for an FIR against the channel, producer, and production house. They also demanded the resignation of the Film City Managing Director and a comprehensive investigation into the incident and existing safety protocols.
AICWA has strongly alleged that the set lacked essential fire safety measures, labeling the situation as criminal negligence rather than an accident. The association is urging the Maharashtra government to mandate regular fire audits, on-set safety personnel, and firefighting equipment for all productions at Film City.
