On the latest episode of 'Special Forces: World's Toughest Test', reality star Eva Marcille and actor Jussie Smollett were paired up for an underwater challenge. The task involved sitting in a fully submerged plane for 20 seconds while holding their breath.
After completing the task, Marcille swam out into the open waterway but then slipped under the surface. She had to be pulled onto a boat by the professionals. When she regained consciousness, Marcille was shaken, exclaiming "Oh my God, I could have died!"
Despite the dramatic rescue, Marcille was found to have passed the task. However, Smollett had not followed the instructions correctly and exited through the wrong door, resulting in a failure.
Smollett was visibly upset, saying "She passed. We lost 'cause of my ass. I'm about to f---ing cry, I swear." He was given another chance to complete the challenge, this time paired with Olympic soccer player Christie Pearce Rampone, but again failed by exiting the wrong way.
In a conversation with the instructors, Smollett opened up about the 2019 incident where he said he was the victim of a hate crime, but was later accused by the City of Chicago of faking the attack. He said the ordeal has had a "big effect" on his life and that he wants to show his "real self" through this competition.
