Rayman Legends Retold has been officially revealed by Ubisoft, showcasing a significant overhaul of the beloved platformer. The remake boasts entirely new 3D visuals for its original sidescrolling areas and introduces entirely new 3D gameplay segments. This enhanced version is set to launch on October 1 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S.
Developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, the studio behind the original game, Rayman Legends Retold aims to revitalize the platforming mascot. Contrary to earlier speculation, the game will feature local multiplayer only, foregoing online connectivity. This announcement follows other recent efforts by Ubisoft to bring Rayman back into the spotlight, including a 30th Anniversary Edition earlier this year and ongoing discussions about a future, entirely new Rayman project.
