In 2025, Bollywood actress Rati Agnihotri, once a celebrated star of 1980s hits, opened up about the dark secret she had kept hidden for 30 years - the horrific domestic violence she allegedly endured in her marriage to architect Anil Virwani.

For decades, Rati maintained the illusion of a happy family, concealing her private suffering behind a radiant public smile. She stayed in the abusive relationship primarily for the sake of her son, Tanuj, born in 1986.
