Summary
- Ratatan launches July 16 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch 2.
- Original Nintendo Switch version canceled due to multiplayer quality concerns.
- Developed by former Patapon team members, features roguelite and RPG elements.

The rhythm game Ratatan will launch on July 16, 2026, arriving on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch 2. This title, developed by Ratata Arts, includes several key members from the team behind the acclaimed Patapon series, which first debuted in 2007.
However, players will notice the absence of a release for the original Nintendo Switch. The development team stated on Steam that the multiplayer experience on that platform has not yet met their desired quality standards, leading to the decision not to proceed with a Switch version at this time.
Ratatan combines its core rhythm-based gameplay with elements of roguelite progression and RPG customization. The game requires significant player attention to synchronize a growing army of characters to the beat, echoing the challenging yet rewarding nature of its predecessors.
