Rashmika Mandanna's The Girlfriend Underwhelms at Box Office Despite Positive Reviews

As of November 13, 2025, Rashmika Mandanna's latest film The Girlfriend is failing to rake in good numbers at the Indian box office despite some rave reviews. The romantic drama, which also stars Dheekshith Shetty, continues its underwhelming run on weekdays, with the collection being higher than the first Monday but still not up to par.

After 6 days, the film has crossed the 10 crore mark at the Indian box office, but is heading towards a disappointing total by the end of the first week. The Hindi-dubbed version of the film has been a complete disaster, with just 40 lakh collected so far. With the release of De De Pyaar De 2 tomorrow, The Girlfriend will be exiting theaters and likely finish its lifetime run with less than a crore in the Hindi market, a shocking result considering Rashmika Mandanna's popularity in the Hindi belt.

Reportedly, The Girlfriend was made on a budget of 42 crores, including printing and other expenses. However, it has only recovered 24.04% of the total cost so far. If the film needs to make a comeback from the present situation, it must show solid trending during the second week.
