Rice Goes Official With Rapper Amid Abuse Claims

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice, 25, has officially debuted his relationship with rapper Rubi Rose, 28, on Valentine's Day. The couple shared several affectionate posts on Instagram, including mirror selfies and public displays of affection. This announcement comes approximately one month after Rice's ex-girlfriend, Dacoda Jones, who is the mother of his two children, detailed allegations of domestic abuse. Jones had posted distressing images of injuries and property damage in early January. Although she did not name Rice directly, her claims were widely interpreted as being against him, prompting an investigation by the NFL. Jones subsequently deleted her posts, but not before detailing years of alleged abuse, control, and infidelity. Rice's grandmother reportedly denied Jones' claims, attributing them to a dispute over an apartment. In addition to these personal controversies, Rice is also dealing with legal consequences from a multi-car crash in May 2024, for which he was sentenced to 30 days in jail and probation. He was also ordered to pay over $115,000 in restitution to the victims of the crash. Rice began the 2024 season serving a six-game suspension related to this incident.
