A significant collection of approximately 1,300 rare Beatles records, gathered over decades by a devoted collector, has been made available to the public. This extensive archive, sourced from the U.K. and continental Europe, includes original pressings and rare international editions.
The collection, acquired by German-based Black Plastic Records from the fan's estate, features notable items such as a scarce 1963 promotional pressing of 'Please Please Me' intended for British radio, an early promotional copy of the 1963 single 'From Me to You,' and an original 1963 U.K. mono first pressing of 'Please Please Me.' A rare 1968 pressing of 'The White Album' and a 1970 U.K. box set edition of 'Let It Be' are also included.
This curated selection highlights the global phenomenon of Beatlemania, showcasing how different countries issued unique versions of Beatles music with distinct artwork and tracklists. Many of these regional editions were produced in limited quantities, making them highly desirable to collectors. The initial drop of these records is available exclusively through Discogs starting Friday, October 30, at 8:00 a.m. ET, with in-store browsing and pickup offered at Black Plastic Records.
