Rap Star Travis Scott Rides Wave of Hits and Collaborations to Stardom

In the past seven years, Houston-born rapper Travis Scott has risen to become a dominant force in the music industry. After getting his start through Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label, Scott exploded onto the mainstream in 2016 with his Billboard 200-topping sophomore album 'Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight.'

Two years later, Scott followed up this success with the release of 'Astroworld,' which spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard charts. The album spawned one of Scott's best-known songs to date, the hit single "Sicko Mode," which was inescapable in the second half of 2018.

Thanks in large part to high-profile collaborations with artists like Drake, Young Thug, Kid Cudi, M.I.A., Kodak Black, and Offset, Scott has continued to cement his status as a rap powerhouse.
