Actor Ranveer Singh's recent physical transformation for his role as Hamza in the film 'Dhurandhar' has been detailed by his trainer, Mustafa Ahmed.
Singh initially weighed 77 kgs and successfully gained 10 kgs in approximately six weeks, reaching 87 kgs by the start of filming. This was achieved through a demanding regimen combining 1.5 to 2 hours of morning Kalari practice for mobility and 1 to 1.5 hours of evening weight training, with limited use of machines.
To support this muscle gain, Singh consumed a calculated 4,000-4,500 calories daily, primarily consisting of chicken and rice or mutton and rice, along with high-calorie protein shakes. This disciplined approach was crucial for maintaining an agile yet powerful physique, as highlighted by his trainer.
Dietitian Garima Goyal noted that such transformations require structured nutrition and aligned training, debunking the myth that actors simply overeat. She emphasized that planned calorie surplus and protein intake are key, and that rapid weight gain must be monitored to avoid metabolic and health issues.
