25 Nov
Summary
- Ransom Canyon season two will feature eight episodes, down from ten.
- New characters Steve Howey, Heidi Engerman, and Ben Robson join the cast.
- Two series regulars, Eoin Macken and Andrew Liner, will not return.

Filming is currently underway for the second season of the popular Netflix Western series, Ransom Canyon. This upcoming season will feature a reduced episode count, with eight episodes planned instead of the ten from its debut season. Minka Kelly, one of the show's stars, shared that this adjustment will allow for a more tightly woven narrative, packed with action and enhanced levity to balance the intense storylines.
The new season promises fresh intrigue with the addition of new cast members, including Steve Howey as Levi, the half-brother to Josh Duhamel's character, Staten Kirkland. Howey's character is described as a rugged "mountain man." Additionally, Heidi Engerman and Ben Robson are joining as recurring guest stars, adding further depth to the ongoing conflict over land and power.
However, the second season will also mark the exit of two prominent series regulars: Eoin Macken, who played Davis, and Andrew Liner, who portrayed Reid Collins. While the reasons for their departure remain undisclosed, their absence is expected to significantly alter the dynamics of the ranching dynasties. The series continues to film at Netflix Studios in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
